My PhD is an interdisciplinary project between ecology and philosophy. The concern is to co-develop concepts, methods and area of research with both disciplines, in order to assess whether and how scientific ecological knowledge is used – often as expertise – in the collective actions on nature. I study in particular three moments of these collective actions, where scientific ecological knowledge is explicitly called up: the environmental impact, the conservation and the ecological restoration. The study aims to evaluate to which extent the kind and the way ecological knowledge is used in these three moments orientate the mode and normativity of actions towards nature.
